Be Prepared for Life

Scouting is about belonging to something Bigger
Troops are Scout led. Adult leadership in Troop 1 facilitates the scout’s planning and working together to make their activities happen. Our Scout program is supported by the Capital Area Council and Armadillo District
Explore The Outdoors
Scout Troops go camping most months including longer summer camps. Scouts learn skills and earn badges for such things as cooking, first aid, and outdoor survival, but also learn to fish, canoe, archery, repelling, and a host of fun activities.
Primary Goals of scouting
Preparedness and Resiliency
Scouts are taught to be prepared and feeling confident that one can handle life in whatever comes up
Character and Integrity
Scouts learn to live according to the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law and teach younger Scouts
In Scouting, a boy is encouraged to educate himself instead of being instructed.
