Scouting is about belonging to something Bigger

In scouting, youth develop healthy respectful friendships that often last a lifetime. While Adults facilitate Troop planning and supervision, Troops are Scout led. The overall Scout program is supported by the Capital Area Council and  Armadillo District.

Primary Goals of scouting

Preparedness and Resiliency

Scouts are taught to be prepared and feel confident that they can handle whatever comes up in life.

Character and Integrity

Scouts learn to live according to the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law. Older scouts teach younger Scouts

In Scouting, a boy is encouraged to educate himself instead of being instructed.
